WHY NATURAL BIRTH?

Because birth works best when it works with your body.

We help you tune in, trust it, and move through it with confidence. Our midwifery approach is rooted in the belief that the body already knows — our role is to support, not override.

FEWER INTERVENTIONS

Natural birth minimizes unnecessary medical interventions, allowing your body to lead the process with support.

DEEPER CONNECTION

Being fully present — unmedicated — allows many women to feel more connected to the experience and their baby.

INFORMED AUTONOMY

You remain the decision-maker at every step. We provide evidence and support — never pressure or protocol.

RECOVERY & BONDING

Natural birth is often associated with faster recovery times and immediate, uninterrupted skin-to-skin bonding.

FAQS

Your questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about midwifery care, insurance, costs, and what to expect when you choose Beautiful Mountain Birth.

  • Our team is made up of experienced Certified, licensed or Direct entry midwives. We also have midwife assistants who are deeply passionate about holistic, woman-centered care. Every provider at BMB is committed to natural birth, informed consent, and building real relationships with the families we serve — not just managing a pregnancy from a chart.

  • Our midwives hold credentials including CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) or LDEM (Licensed Direct Entry Midwife). We also have Direct Entry Midwives. Every provider maintains current certifications in NRP (neonatal resuscitation), CPR, and obstetric emergency management. Our birth assistants are all certified in NRP and CPR in the first 6 months of their training.

  • Time and relationship. Our prenatal appointments run about an hour — you'll see the same midwife consistently, ask every question on your list, and never feel rushed through a 10-minute slot. We treat you as an active partner in your care, not a patient moving through a system.

  • For low-risk pregnancies attended by qualified providers with clear hospital transfer plans, research shows outcomes are comparable to birth center and hospital births. Our team carries emergency medications, oxygen, IV supplies, and resuscitation equipment, and is trained to recognize and respond to complications — and to transfer care when needed.
